Digital Compass can be installed as an app on your phone or computer.
No app store to go through, no account to create, nothing to pay: the
browser you already have knows how to do this.
Why does it matter? Because the moment you need the guide is exactly
the moment something has gone wrong — sometimes the internet too.
Once installed, the app opens with a single tap, and the saved guides
stay readable even without a connection.
How to install the app
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open compass.madeinro.eu in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom centre).
- Scroll down and choose "Add to Home Screen", then Add.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open the site in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top right).
- Choose "Add to Home screen" or "Install app".
On Windows, macOS or Linux (Chrome or Edge)
- Open the site in Chrome or Edge.
- Look on the right side of the address bar for the install icon (a monitor with an arrow).
- Click it and confirm with Install. The app shows up like any other program.
Firefox
On Android, Firefox also has "Add to Home screen" in its menu. On a
computer, Firefox doesn't install apps of this kind — but the
offline saving above works there too.
Good to know
- The app is the same site — it updates itself whenever you have internet.
- It asks for no special permissions and collects nothing extra.
- You can delete it any time, like any other app.
