Sources & how we verify
A new website has no right to just say "trust me". So we show you where the information comes from and how we keep it up to date.
How we work
- We rely on official sources (authorities, banks, the official platforms), not on rumours.
- Every playbook shows the date it was last reviewed and lists its sources at the end.
- The information here is guidance — it helps you act fast, but it does not replace official instructions from your bank, the police or the authorities.
- If you spot something wrong or outdated, tell us — we will fix it.
The sources we rely on
- DNSC — Romania’s National Cybersecurity Directorate
The national cybersecurity authority. Phishing alerts, incident reporting, 1911 call centre.
- ANPC — the National Consumer Protection Authority
Complaints about online shops and traders in Romania.
- Poliția Română (the Romanian Police)
Criminal complaints for online fraud and scams.
- Meta — Hacked account
Recovering Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Google — Account recovery
Recovery and security check-up for your Google/Gmail account.
Useful numbers, any time
- 112 — emergencies.
- 1911 — DNSC, cyber incidents and guidance. You can also report online at pnrisc.dnsc.ro.
- Your bank — the official number is on the back of your card.
